Home Charles Weisend
tribute

-On Friday, July 31, 2009 our employer, leader and friend Charles Frederick Weisend known to all as “Fritz” passed away peacefully while asleep at home after a brief illness. He was born March 14, 1926 in Bellaire, Ohio, the son of Francis Charles Weisend and Martha Katherine Krueger.

Fritz served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corp, finishing his service (as a malaria survivor) in the Panama Canal region. He started Fritz Chemical Company in Mesquite, TX in 1956 and incorporated in 1959 and since 1993 it has been more familiarly known as Fritz Industries, Inc. He served as President from August 1974 through September 1976 on the Board of Directors for Dallas Society for Crippled Children (an affiliate local agency of the National Easter Seals Society for Crippled Children and Adults). Fritz will be genuinely missed by his loved ones, friends, and many generations of employees. “He wasn’t just responsible for giving us a place to work; he was responsible for providing miracles and a family atmosphere that made it an honor to come to work each and every day”.
