MESQUITE, TX (Jul. 23, 2009) - The President and Chief Executive Officer of Fritz Industries, Inc., Frederick “Fritz” Weisend, stepped down today from his post after more than fifty years since founding the company as the Fritz Chemical Company in 1958. A motion to nominate Dan Montgomery for President and Chief Executive Officer was submitted to the Board of Directors and subsequently passed.

Effective July 23, 2009, Dan Montgomery is the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Fritz Industries, Inc. Fritz Weisend is confident the company is in a good position to install new leadership, and will continue to serve the company in a senior consultant role as Chairman of the Board.

Dan Montgomery has served the company for more than twenty years—most recently as National Sales Manager for the Oilfield Division. We can expect that Dan will keep the company moving forward on our current projects and bring with him exciting new initiatives for the many years ahead.
